My background

Hi, I’m Amba, a mum and lawyer. I have been interested in teaching/tutoring/mentoring students for some time and have always found ways to do this in all my roles.

Currently I work within civil litigation for financial mis-selling. As part of my role I train all our new fee-earners as well as mentor and train junior staff wanting to step up into a more senior role. We have an in-house training academy which I work very closely with; in assisting with creation of training materials and mentoring the students/graduates.

My passion for law comes from wanting to help people. I love Family law, Conveyancing and private client work as you get to make a difference and help real clients with real life problems.

I have worked in law for 12 years whilst also completing my studies. I have completed various legal qualifications (up-to masters level) whilst working full time as a paralegal or fee-earner. I am not shy of hard work and I know how to balance many plates.

I am able to help with GCSE, A Level, CILEX and degree level Law.

In my private life, I have a (currently) 6 year old little boy with SEN, he is currently on both ADHD and ASD pathways awaiting diagnosis. He is a whizz at maths but struggles with his english. I have been self-teaching him his phonics, reading and writing at home and he is now confident and receiving awards at school for English. Previously he wouldn’t stay in class and would have a “meltdown”.

My brother is dyslexic, I tutored him during high school years for his English and maths enabling him to pass his core GCSEs.

I have a patient, nurturing but firm approach. I am fun, approachable and down to earth. I will always be honest and believe that everyone should further their knowledge and would love to be apart of helping someone do that!
