My background

I have completed a master in science with first-class honours in human embryology and developmental biology; won the prize for being the best student of the degree and currently a PhD candidate conducting laboratory-based research in regenerative medicine. My outstanding performance at higher education level demonstrates my advanced knowledge on biomedical sciences and will allow me to teach the subject to the fullest.

Experience

Alongside my scientific background I have excellent teaching experience; I always aim to digest complex materials and deliver in an understandable yet mind triggering way to allow students best appreciate the subject and strive for more knowledge regarding the topic. I use different learning contents in my lessons to suite students with different learning styles, e.g. text, diagrams and animation; my excellent skills are always reflected on the student’s interest and high performance in the subject.I am currently a tutor in the brilliant club “researcher development programme” where I receive training on course design, effective learning and teaching methods, assessments etc., I also completed 'Orientation to teaching & demonstrating” course at the university of Southampton - 2017. I have taught courses on human development as well as stem cells biology to undergraduates and postgraduates during my work as a university lecturer (2014-2015) abroad and currently delivering courses on my research (cartilage regeneration using stem cells) to scholars programme school students.

I am an organised individual, have good written and oral communication skills in English and Arabic
language and have excellent skills to best reach learners and establish a welcoming, engaging and useful training environment. I am fully competent in the use of computers and smart devices to plan, create and deliver lessons with all methods including online, telephone and face-to-face as well as to fully support student’s independent learning.
