Maths

My background

I am most familiar with the GCSE level Maths Curriculum which I have been reinforcing with the creation of my maths help website. As well as Maths, I am also experienced with GCSE level Science. Having just completed my A-levels in Maths, chemistry and biology, I am able to provide support for these subjects too, if requested.

Lesson structures will be tailored to the student, with regular tests and quizzes to reinforce what has been learnt and to judge performance and level. Every lesson will be based on the needs of the student, with topics based around areas of improvement. Students can request the topics learnt during the lesson. I am very happy to be flexible with the pace at which we work, catering to every skill level.

I personally found using practice papers and old exams a really good tool for when I was studying to take my GCSE exams and so regularly during my lessons, I will use practice questions taken directly from old exams to aid your learning. As well as this, every week, I will set homework to complete a chosen past test which I will mark and review any problems with you in the following week's lesson. This, of course, is not obligatory as I completely understand school homework may already be stacking up!

Experience

I am a starting medical student at Plymouth Medical School. Throughout my school life, I have often taught friends and family with the utmost professionalism at all times. My expertise heavily revolves around maths but I am happy to help with other subjects like chemistry and biology if this was needed. I achieved A*A*A in my A-levels, with an A* in maths. As well as this, I achieved three 9 and five 8s in my GCSEs with an 8 in maths. I have recently started creating my own website relating to GCSE level maths as well as further sciences.
