For over a decade, Amanda worked in the education sector as a secondary school English
teacher, and in the latter part of her career, she assumed a role of
responsibility called Key Stage 3 Coordinator. Amanda’s top priority in
teaching was always to ensure that children left formal education with the
emotional intelligence to overcome any challenge they may face in the adult
world; her aim was to create a safe environment for children to express their
true selves.
Amanda’s passion for teaching extends beyond the classroom as she also spent six years
teaching children and adults a range of dance styles including Latin American
and Ballroom. Her fun-loving nature meant that her students gained the
technical knowledge needed whilst enjoying themselves at the same time. This
stemmed from years of competing herself (both nationally and internationally),
during which time Amanda learned the importance of a strong mindset, resilience,
determination and belief.
In her free time, Amanda also loves to read, paint, do yoga and to go to the gym.
I have a decade's worth of experience teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5 in both schools and via 1:1 tuition.
