My background

I have recently completed my PGCE, following a 23 year career spent in a variety of roles in industry. I specialise in Maths, having initially graduated as an Engineer, and then spent time in Commercial and Management roles. I like to think that this experience helps me bring Maths to life by using my range of experiences to bring "real life context" to the learning - from explaining negative numbers to primary school children by using the goal difference statistics in the football league table to explaining vectors to GCSE level students by pretending to be an airline pilot.
