My background

Hello! I’m Sameer, a Natural Sciences student at Cambridge, available for online teaching and home schooling.


I am a student at Cambridge studying natural sciences, (maths, chemistry, biology). I am available for tuition in these subjects at both primary and early secondary school level; as well as for GCSE and A-level exams. I can also tutor for an Oxbridge application in any of the biological sciences or chemistry, including personal statement advice, preparation for the Cambridge Natural Sciences Admissions Assessment (NSAA) and delivering mock interviews.

My approach to tutoring:

• Emphasis on conceptual understanding rather than rote memorisation
• Cultivating problem solving skills by asking questions and encouraging pupils to give their own ideas when learning new topics
• Using diagrams and flowcharts to aid information internalisation as much as possible (the zoom whiteboard enables pupils to collaborate on diagrams with me)
• Wherever possible, making links to topics beyond the syllabus and supplementing core information with current affairs/current research
• Teaching effective revision techniques and tried and tested ways to succeed in exams

I love teaching, because seeing someone grow in understanding and deepen their conceptual framework is extremely rewarding, and it challenges me to find new ways to think about the world.
