My background

I am a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic English Literature and Language Tutor. I am qualified to teach early learners, adult learners, and business English, for either native speakers or those whose English is a second language.
My lesson plans are both fun and engaging. With literature, I focus on reading between the lines, getting to the meanings of text, highlighting characters, improving essay writing skills and teaching key, transferable tools that can be used in any literature genre.
For Language I would focus on comprehension, phrasing, spelling and sentence structure. I always carry out an initial assessment with each student in order to gain an overall view of the stronger and weaker areas, which then allows me to set a lesson plan tailor made for each individual.
I believe strongly in each lesson being student focused and therefore I often introduce activities such as flash cards, word gaps and role play.
