I’m a qualified maths tutor with over 18 years’ teaching experience (PGCE, QTS), working across mainstream schools, alternative provision, and one-to-one tuition.
Originally trained as a music teacher, I now specialise in teaching maths — particularly to students who are capable but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the subject.
I work with students from KS2 through to GCSE, including many home-educated learners and those who think and learn differently. I have a particular strength in supporting creative students who often struggle to connect with traditional maths teaching.
My approach combines clear structure with flexibility. I use established frameworks (such as White Rose Maths) to provide direction, while adapting lessons to match how each student processes information.
As someone who is AuDHD, I bring lived insight into reducing overwhelm and helping students make sense of maths in a way that feels manageable.
Above all, I focus on creating a calm, safe learning environment where students feel understood. This often leads to improved consistency, renewed confidence, and meaningful progress over time.
