This course with professional guitarist, producer and teacher SIMON TITTLEY teaches complete beginners the essential skills required to play effective rhythm guitar.

Playing the guitar is great fun and can be extremely therapeutic !

This course teaches the basic skills required to begin playing effective rhythm guitar.

We will cover :

- pick (or plectrum) technique

- learning how to interpret rhythm guitar charts

- the concept of 'swinging' or 'shuffling' a rhythm part

- how to create interesting strum patterns that have depth and feel

- basic chord construction and an overview of the 6 basic chord types used in music

- the concept of 'Jingle Jangle'

- simple blues forms

- how to sound like the guitar parts you hear on records
